Dr. Vasilios Frankos is the senior corporate advisor of Product Safety, Quality and Compliance. He is responsible for providing expert advice and counsel to senior management to ensure all products sold by Herbalife Nutrition are safe, meet regulatory safety and efficacy requirements and meet product quality standards.

Previously, Dr. Frankos served as senior vice president for Global Product Science, Safety and Compliance for Herbalife Nutrition. He retired from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in 2010, where he served as the director of the Division of Dietary Supplements Program. He was the lead scientist for dietary supplements for the FDA and was responsible for the full implementation of the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act (DSHEA) of 1994. While at the FDA he also served as special assistant for the Dietary Supplement Science Review, staff science advisor in the Office of the Commissioner and as a senior toxicologist in the Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition. Frankos also served as a principal consultant with ENVIRON Corp. for over 18 years.

Vasilios Frankos holds a Ph.D. in pharmacology and toxicology from the University of Maryland Pharmacy School. He earned an M.S. in molecular biology and a B.A. in biology from the University of Maryland.
